“As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster an editor.”

Doing in-camera edits on my family’s VHS recorder at the age of 9 is when I realized I wanted to work in movies. With a BA from the University of Iowa, I came to Los Angeles and quickly felt right at home in post production. While working my way up, I cut whatever I could in my free time, refining my skills and always looking for the next challenge. In late 2018, I finally got my first feature film, ‘Flinch’. I absolutely love being an editor in the scripted space and work to improve my skills and understanding of the role every day.

The time together in the room is what I most look forward to. Re-working and experimenting real-time to make sure we are getting the best possible version of each scene is essential. But, I also want the cutting room to be a fun experience – a safe space to be creative, make mistakes, and communicate honestly on the road to a final product that excites us. We’re a team; and while I may be coming in months or years after you’ve started on this journey, it’s my privilege to help you confidently cross the finish line.

Every project is different; each come with their own sets of challenges and rewards. I have had to overcome several hurdles in the past, from tightened deadlines to full on story revisions, so I’m confident there’s no problem I can’t handle being your editor. From pre-production to first assembly to picture lock, I am there to make sure the best vision is put on the screen.
